The deadline for submission of the Quarterly Economic – Financial Statement to the Central Bank of Brazil, referring to the reference date of 03/31/2020, expires on 06/30/2020.
Therefore, all companies which receive foreign investments, that owns assets and/or Net Equity similar or higher than BRL250,000.000.00 (two hundred and fifty million reais), must quartely update their economic and financial information quarterly, through the Electronic Declaratory Record – Foreign Direct Investment (“RDE-IED”), following the calendar:
Calendar:
• data base of December 31st, the information should be provided by March, 31st of the subsequent year;
• data base of March 31st, the information should be provided by June, 30th;
• data base of June 30th, the information should be provided until September, 30th; and
• data base of September 30th, the information should be provided by December, 31st.
In case of non-compliance, article 36 of Law 13,506 / 2017 and Circular No. 3,857 / 2017 of BACEN, establish the criteria for the application of fines, whose values can reach up to R $ 250,000.00 (two hundred and fifty thousand reais), in the case of providing incorrect, incomplete information or untimely declaration.
